Thank you. We will be in touch shortly.
In the meantime, please take care and look after your own wellbeing. Here are some tips that may help you.
1. Take a break: Give yourself permission to step away, even if it's just for a few minutes. A short walk, deep breathing, or simply getting some fresh air can help clear your mind.
2. Reflect gently: Take a moment to reflect on the conversation but be kind to yourself. Acknowledge the effort you put in and remind yourself that you're doing your best.
3. Talk it out: If you feel comfortable, share your experience with a trusted friend or a colleague in a similar support role. Sometimes, just talking about it can help lighten the emotional load.
4. Practise grounding techniques: If you're feeling overwhelmed, grounding exercises like focusing on your breath, holding a comforting object, or listing five things you can see around you can help bring you back to the present moment.
5. Engage in a soothing activity: Do something that relaxes you - whether it's reading a book, listening to music, or spending time in nature. Find what helps you unwind and make it a priority.
6. Remember to hydrate and nourish yourself: It sounds simple, but staying hydrated and eating something nourishing can make a big difference to how you feel physically and emotionally.
7. Set a boundary: If the conversation is lingering in your mind, gently remind yourself that it’s okay to set it aside. You’ve done what you can for now, and it's important to take care of yourself too.
Taking these small steps can help you to regain your balance.
